The video debuted, and its extremely graphic lyrics started with her straight DOGGING Nicki. She mimicked her 'barbie' impression, called her music TRASH, even threatened her. No one knows where the hostility came from. They just knew this girl was out for blood.
The media went INSANE, numerous blog posts were made, response videos, etc. And then Nicki responded.

From there, Keys goes on a complete PR drive, where she joined forces with Lil Kim (who was also beefing with Nicki) and performed with her when Kim came to Baltimore on her tour. Oh, yeah I have that too
She makes her own music....
Now, lets recap everything I'm showing you guys. First, she disses Nicki Minaj, which we ALL know, was her way of getting her name out because no one knew about her until she made that video. (Google her name and Nicki's name pops up) Now the question comes into play, was this PR for HER OR NICKI? Now, when she joins forces with Kim, doesn't that seem fishy since Kim is just as Raunchy as Nicki, had numerous color weaves, and even called herself a barbie back in the day? Keys isn't that kind of going against your whole diss? You call yourself a lady, but I've never met a lady to talk about guns, or being in the parking lot 'clocking a glot'. Honestly her music is a replica of Nickis old music. This woman clearly didn't do her research before she did this, which shows she either A) was eager to get her name out or B) Doesn't have an good manager. Or it could possibly be both. When Nicki responds, she states "They need it" which is exactly what I thought when I seen the sad diss video. I never recalled Nicki's first videos 'dissin' Kim, even now she doesn't do it, when Kim CONSTANTLY throws dirt on her name in the media. This is an act of maturity, in my opinion. Now let's address the fact that when you listen to Keys lyrics, every other lyric is about 'beating a bitch' or shooting up an place. Now really? Let's compare your shallow lyrics to Nicki's. Her whole act is to knock Nicki off, but while she's becoming this youtube sensation, Nicki has went on to make billboard singles (mind you she doesn't have an album out), work with some of the biggest names in the industry (Ross, Diddy, Drake, Gucci, Wayne, Mariah Carey, Trey Songz) and be signed to one of the hottest labels out there Young Money. So, if this Keys was to become famous, I would love to see WHO would sign her because Nicki has extremely close contact with both Young Money and So Icey ENT. whom she previously worked with. These are the two hottest labels out and she obviously won't be getting signed to them. Jay-z doesn't condone that type of lyricism and wouldn't dare in his damn life sign her. The problem is she acted to late. Nicki is a very powerful force in the music industry and wherever she goes she will still be crushed. Keys, sorry but you should definitely just, stop. I'm all for female rappers, but she needs to call it quits. The only other person she could team up with is Trina and, well, she's kind of on Nicki's side. The bottom line comes to this, Keys will never amount to anything but be one of the countless Youtube sensations, and could never amount to Nicki's status (who btw is dropping an album on November 23d called "Pink Friday" because this date is Black Friday). Now I would like to drop this subject and continue to be #TeamMinaj because honestly, this is just ridiculous and we'll be laughing about it years to come. Let this be a warning AHHAHAHHA
