House In Torres

Fashion and Architecture, are synonymous in a way. In both industries, your main objective is to construct, whether it be a wall or a dress. That said, when I look at the architecture and design of homes, I get excited because it's more than just a house, it's a work of art, just like that dress.
This home constructed by one of my favorite Architects, Pedro Gadanho, is colorful and bubbly, but very mature. The home has hints of different eras of architecture, and he makes sure the rooms are different but come together as one. One thing I love about Pedro and his work, more specifically this one is that he knows how to have fun with his job, however make money. He knows how to make a home that is different, yet able to sell. This is why he's booked for jobs for more than just homes. His work gets me excited to actually have my own place and make it full of color and shapes. FUN!

Cool Kids- I felt cool today

We all have our days when we feel cool. You know, like, too cool for school. Well today at work whilst having my daily time with me and Bertha (my Ipod) I came across a mixtape I forgot I even downloaded, "Gone Fishing"- The Cool Kids. I couldn't stop bobbing my head and for a second- no millisecond- I felt actually cool. Picture this: Snapback with sports team of choice, varsity jacket, Obey Tee, Levi 501's, Jordan 3 Retro, and a Louie Coin Purse. Yeah I had one of those daydreams. If you are in fact too school for cool (Shoutout to Pink) then this mixtape is for you.

Crusing on the freeway.

I'm not a car fanatic. When I see some nice shit, that's when i react like a kid in a candy store and get all excited. Aston Martins are the epitome of sports cars right now. My personal favorite is the V8 Vantage.
Can I have one with black exterior, black leather, and factory rims. Thanks.

Get into them here

Sliding house

WOW, I was in complete awe at this amazing house that can go under its shell like a turtle, it captivates the art of modern architecture, and is extremely liveable at the same time.

Some overview from the designer dRMM’s book

"The brief was a self-build house to retire to in order to grow food, entertain and enjoy the landscape. The site offered a combination of rolling England and agricultural Holland, restrained by stringent local Planning parameters for rural development. A genuine appreciation of vernacular farm buildings shared by architect and client led to a manipulation of the local timber framed and clad ‘shed’ idiom.
The outcome is three conventional building forms with unconventional detailing, radical performance, and a big surprise. A linear building of apparent simplicity is sliced into three programmes; house, garage and annexe. The garage is pulled off axis to create a courtyard between the three. The composition is further defined by material and colour; red rubber membrane and glass, red and black stained larch.
The surprise: the separated forms can be transformed by a 20 ton mobile roof/wall enclosure which traverses the site, creating combinations of enclosure, open-air living and framing of views according to position. This is an autonomous structure; steel, timber, insulation and unstained larch spanning recessed railway tracks. Movement is powered by hidden electric motors on wheels integrated into the wall thickness. The tracks can be extended in the future should the client wish to build a swimming pool, which may need occasional shelter.
Sliding House offers radically variable spaces, extent of shelter, sunlight and insulation. The dynamic change is a physical phenomenon difficult to describe in words or images. It is about the ability to vary the overall building composition and character according to season, weather, or a remote-controlled desire to delight."
Also it helps the people who reside in the home because they can control their lighting and can save a whole bunch of money on ligh bills

Look at how pretty it lights up in the night time

Of course the owner of the house can give you a better overview of it than I

Michael Jackson in your home?

An oil based painting of the King of Pop himself is on display in New York. No, not at one of the many art museums, but at Dancy Power Auto Group. The luxury auto boutique sells vehicles like Rolls Royce, Ferrari, & Maserati. The rare portrait of the late Michael Jackson can be seen on display in the dealerships showroom. As quiet as it is kept, there is a long list of clients offering millions of dollars to buy this masterpiece. Sean “Puffy” Combs, Jay-z, & Madonna are just a few of the clients on this list. The 40-inch by 50-inch portrait was bought from Australian artist Brett-Livingstone Strong by Present Owner Marty Abrams for 2.1 million dollars back in 1992. Imagine owning this portrait and seeing it in your home everyday, Life Would Be Great!
