It was the sweetest thing.

The 2011 New Year's Eve party at the Gansevoort Park Avenue in New York hosted by Ciroc had special guest Lauryn Hill perform. I have yet to find an actual video of her performing, but the pictures are stimulating as well. Lauryn has been making appearences here and there, and I'm super excited to when I see the Press Release for her album release. L gave the Women Rap movement so much more with her genuine soft voice, and enlightening rhymes. I've yet to see another girl comapare Which is something that angers me about the Nicki and Kim beef because Kim wants her to pay dues for imitating her, but her raunchy lyrics aren't nothing to be looked up too. Now I have respect for her barging her way into the tough music industry, but her music was exactly how Nicki's is now. Amusing and catchy. I will admit I have her (and Nicki's) music on my iTunes but Lauryn is put in when I need a certain sense of calamity around me. Listen to her live performance of "Peace Of Mind". When she started to cry, I didn't think she was unprofessional, I thought it was REAL. We need more L-Boogies out here.
