Around Cleveland, people (including me) observe how 'gangsters' invest a lot of money in Ralph Lauren. they drape themselves in it Head to Toe and talk about is so much, to the point where they make songs about it. Well, whoever is buying these clothes has actually contributed to Polo Ralph Laurens sale increase. According to one of my internet sources Reuters Polo's net income rose 16 percent to $205.2 million, or $2.09 per share, in the second quarter ended October 2 from $177.5 million, or $1.75 per share, a year earlier. That easily topped the $1.71 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S were expecting.
"Net revenue rose 11 percent to $1.53 billion, topping the $1.48 billion analysts had expected, due to global wholesale and retail demand.
Wholesale sales rose 8 percent on strength in the United States and Europe and in footwear and men's and women's apparel lines.
Retail sales jumped 17 percent. Sales at stores open at least a year rose 8 percent, with gains of 1 percent at Ralph Lauren, 8 percent at factory stores and 10 percent at the company's lower-priced Club Monaco chain"
I love talking about money. Especially when Billions come into play. I've been a Ralph Lauren/Chaps head since I was in diapers. I have so many pieces from both of the lines in my closets, it was only right to post about this. What caught my attention, was this Club Monaco line. I was excited to look for new things Mr. Lauren has been doing. Well, I did my research and was impressed.

I love these type of things. The competition about who has the most power. Don't you just squirm? The list was a bit... different this time around, because #1 was Johnny Depp. Which could be understandable if you looked at his net worth which is 5.3 Billion. But not really power. Little (she would love me for calling her little) Ms. O came in at #3. Shocked right? So I'm sure you're wondering who came in #2. Yes. Ms. Gaga! Don't you just love how she catapulted into the top 5 most powerful people in the world, in about two years?
