John Varvatos Spring 2012

What is air? I'm sitting trying to figure that out as I--for the fourth time-- view the John Varvatos S/S 2012 collection. He gave us a look that you will typically see in American designers, but he gave that Varvatos touch (as usual). The models wore draped silk shirts that looked elegant even on my 15 inch Macbook screen. He paired them with a pant so perfectly fitted, you would want to snatch them off of the models. I absolutely died at the draped scarves, over the suits, because it gave the sophisticated European look, but also an Australian man's outfit for a night out. Now let's discuss his overcoats and how they clung to the model's clothing, but didn't give that bulky look. He paired these long coats with the drape shirts to create an astonishing pair. The colors were fabulous, and him giving the models sunglasses made it even more badass, and 70's rock inspired. Job well done.
The Look: Tapered pant, draped shirts, Silk, Camel, Grey, White, tailored vests, Western influence, (obviously), overcoats.
