Inspiration comes in so many ways. You get it from everywhere around you and amazingly it bleeds into your work or whatever it is that you do during your everyday work. Fashion inspires me. Everything fashion is what keeps me going. I love the art and the business of the industry. When I find places/websites/people that feed my hunger to be inspired I get happy and usually run to my blog (here) to talk about it.
StyleLikeU is one of my favorite websites when I'm inspiration hungry. I can see so many people from EVERYWHERE and their styles are amazing and interesting. They give tips from their own style which I incorporate into my budding style which, as a teenager is still under construction. Here are a couple of videos that really hit me because their styles aren't artificial, this was something that they do because it makes them happy in the morning. They aren't afraid.
CONFIDENCE oozes out of their pores, and that is one of the biggest things that inspires me and it should you too. Confidence. Would you wear purple pants? What about a red mink coat? Most will say no, but you have to learn confidence within yourself which can only be attained when you become inspired by other confident people. In sum, inspiration comes in VARIOUS forms and you shouldn't be confined to just one outlet of inspiration. One of the best things about being of the human species we have the power to inspire and to be inspired. Get out and get inspired. Now, let me show you some of the people who have just been added to my inspiration list.
Elfee has an amazing style. What inspires me about her is how she is so young, yet she incorporates this style very similar to that of a grandmother. She oozes vintage (50's) with her dress and shoe choice. She dips into the Victorian era and has it down to the T. She gets it. It's something I try to achieve (with 80's and 90's) but I just can't get it.

Karen has the confidence of a American General. She is in the PR field which is something I aspire to work in, and she's an entrepreneur. All of the pieces in her closet are extremely similar to that of a maximalist (opposite of a minimalist). She is a maximalist. She doesn't like fake and all of her pieces or hot and she is confident along with them. I like her because her pieces are HOT lol, and she knows that.

Finally, Brett. Any African American working in the Fashion Industry is motivation for me. He is Director of Presentation for Ralph Lauren. Ralph Lauren? I mean I rest my case. This mans closet is very similar to my taste. This is inspiration for me to know that there is a chance for this little black boy in Cleveland can LEAVE and be in the Fashion industry. He has confidence that allows him to wear purple pants and you not even think he was because he was so comfortable.
