So, everyone I'm sure is familiar with the overnight craze of the newest FB game. Someone messages you a question and you reply via status with your answer. Well, someone messaged me with a question that was too long to answer in a status, and actually made me read it twice.
"I'm not the smallest of dudes. I wear a size 38 in pants and a XL in shirts. i am always trying to be fashionable but its hard to find things that fit me that are really hot. i get really jealous at skinny dudes but you big too and you always lookin fly. Can you give me like a couple tips?"
This question was from a guy obviously, and it's very rare that you find a guy who will A) Compliment another guy B) Care about their appearance, and put it in the same paragraph. I was so happy that someone asked me about this, and I was moved to answer the question via my blog.

Find your stores- Being a big guy we can't just walk into a store and grab the first thing we see because our waist lines won't permit. Find a store that actually is biggie friendly, and pants go up in the 40's and shirts go into double X's.Try them on because some stores tend to either run small or big. It's all about testing. When buying online, don't be afraid or too impatient to send back. Being fly takes time. :)
The Beater- Those ugly things you see mechanics or someone doing work wear, works so well. Put them on under your shirts to make you look more slimmer and make sure no excess mess is in the way when you're tucking in your shirt. Try Under-Armour for the best fit.
Go Straight Leg- Wearing bootcut or relaxed may be the most comfortable thing, but it's not so much the most stylish. When getting a jean you have to go to what you look for in a relationship, no excess baggage. Everyone has good straight legs. Straight legs and skinny are too different things and SKINNY is not really what you need. Get a jean that fits and not too baggy because it makes you look A) Shorter B) FATTER. Also, if you're going to tuck in your shirt with your jean WEAR A BELT, it pulls the stomach in to save some embarrassment.
Please don't go a size up or down- Us (big people) try to buy clothes that are too big for us and drown out our actual size. This makes you look more fat. Don't buy to big, and don't buy to small. Shirts should be snug around the belly, but not tight to where you can't stick your hand up there. If you bend over and your ass is showing, then it's time for some new pants. Don't try and buy that 34 and you're a 36. You're not only lying to yourself, but wasting your money. Don't cheat yourself
Go V-Neck- V-neck is the ultimate way to make you look 10 pounds lighter. When you wear the V-Neck is gives your torso a more lean look than a crewneck which makes you look more stuffy. V-Neck sweaters and t-shirts should be in an abundance in your closet.
Black- yes I said it. BLACK. Okay you can do grey too. I know everyone loves colors. But neon isn't always the best for us. Black is so subtle and it actually makes you look lighter. You can wear a colors with it, but it should be the base of an outfit if you're trying to look lighter. Always works wonders.
Confidence- Hold your head high. When you sit, don't slouch, that tends to cause more rolls. Speaking of rolls when you're at a restauraunt don't eat that second breadstick if you know you're full. Because then you'll get up and something will break (trust me I know) and you will be very embarassed. Just eat until you are semi-full so your stomach doesn't implode which will then mess up the outfit you chose. Remeber NO BAGGAGE, which means no room for a full belly. Just know that you're you and that's the ultimate weight lifter. You can use the tips above but Confidence is the cherry in top of all the tips. Without it, they're useless.
I hope this answered the question!
